Armand C. Rius

I'm a product focused systems engineer living in the Netherlands. I work at the intersection of technology and agriculture.

Every individual has a finite, precious resource: their time. Don't waste it.

I'm a writer, storyteller, and entrepreneur. But at heart, I am a farmer. My journey began in the startup world at CtrlChain, where I worked across strategy, product development, and the early shaping of the team and its culture.

My grandfather, whom I deeply admire, taught me that work will occupy a large part of your life, and that real satisfaction comes from choosing work you believe is worth doing. With that in mind, I have made a deliberate decision about how to spend my time. I am currently building my next adventure, shaped by a challenge I consider unavoidable.

We are facing major environmental pressures: degrading soils, shrinking biodiversity, depleting water reserves, and accelerating climate change. Agriculture and forestry sit at the center of these problems, but also at the center of the solution. As a technologist and conscious capitalist, I believe technology should be used to scale regenerative approaches that produce the food and materials we need while restoring land, preserving water, increasing biodiversity, and storing carbon. Done well, this work helps farmers operate with nature rather than against it, and creates benefits that extend far beyond agriculture.

I do not expect this work to solve everything. I do hope it helps move the needle in a direction that matters.
